A brawl between the wives of two high-ranking officers of the Islamabad district administration resulted in the transfer of both the officers.
According to an FIR lodged with women police station in the federal capital, Ghazal Gilani, wife of Magistrate Islamabad Hussain Bahadur, was watering the plants in the lawn of her house when suddenly the water supply was disconnected.
When Ghazal turned around, she saw her neighbour Saima Khan, who had allegedly disconnected the water supply and along with two children started beating Ghazal. Saima also allegedly verbally abused Ghazal and threatened her of very dire consequences.
Ghazal alleged that Saima subjected her to worst assault and also tried to take her life by strangulating her. She said all this happened when she was alone at the home and all the servants had left. She alleged that when her husband returned home Saima ran away with her children and also left behind her shoes.
The women police station reportedly filed an FIR against Saima, who is wife of Assistant Commissioner Imran Ali Sultan. However, reportedly, when Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Mujahid Sherdil was informed about this development, he was worried about it and asked Magistrate Hussain Bahadur to withdraw the case.
Hussain Bahadur refused to oblige after which he was transferred. However, no action has been taken on his complaint so far. The said assistant commissioner was also transferred to Hunza.
