ISLAMABAD-
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday rejected the request of former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for accessing the contempt of court case records of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
According to details, the SC Registrar’s office rejected Chaudhry’s request stating that he could not be provided with a copy of the case records as he was not a party in the case.
The ex-CJ’s lawyers have said that they would appeal against the decision as the documents regarding the case are now part of the public record.
