Pakistan is passing through difficult times and the situation requires every leader to rise above party politics, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq while addressing the JI workers and notables in Lower Dir. Condemning Israel’s brutalities against Palestinians, he said that the cruelties of the Zionist state had crossed all limits but unfortunately the Muslim states looked as silent spectators.
He said that the Pakistan government should step forward and lead the Muslim world by evolving a strategy to protect the Palestinians. He urged the Muslim rulers to discharge their responsibilities by reining in Israel.
He said that he would lead a huge rally in Islamabad on August 10 to express complete solidarity with the Palestinians.
The JI chief said that the masses in the country wanted the solution of their problems by the political rulers. However, he said that root cause of the problem was the ruling elite in control of the country in every sphere.
However, he was sure that a change was around the corner and the days of tyranny and exploitation are numbered and a new and Islamic era would begin soon.
Separately, JI deputy chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that Israel had become a threat to the world peace and its act of bombing over Gaza after ceasefire was a clear breach of trust.
Addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, he said the UN was under the grip of enemies of Islam while the Muslim states representatives were their puppets. The UN was allowing Israel to continue the genocide of the Palestinians. He said the entire Muslim world deeply hated the hypocrite attitude of the UN.
He said had the Muslim rulers some sense of religious prestige, they would not have remained silent over the massacre of the Palestinian women and children. He urged the world community to announce total boycott of Israel and cancel its UN membership.
Idrees said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was making hectic efforts to save his government, but if he had made half of this much struggle to protect the Palestinians from Israel’s brutalities, he would have emerged as a world leader. He said that power was getting out of the prime minister’s hands but he was not ready to mend his ways.
He said that Israel had not cared for any international law during the last few weeks and had been continuing the bloodshed of the unarmed Palestinians. There was no word of protest from the UN or the international community over Israel’s attacks over Gaza after ceasefire.
Street politics is never brought good for Pakistan. JI, PTI have to learn from history. if one of you are really serious to help Pakistan peoples, and Muslims around the world, should not only talk and "marchs" only had presented helping hand to put Pakistan on stability.
