Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Allama Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that the All Parties Conference (APC) under the PUC will be held on August 5 in Islamabad in the backdrop of Israeli offensive against Gaza and prevailing situation of the IDPs .
A coordination committee under PUC secretary general Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi has been set up in connection with preparations of the conference.
Talking to a delegation of Ulema on Friday, Ashrafi said over 32 religious and political parties including the PML-N, PPP, PML-Q, JUI, MQM, ANP and Jamaat-e-Islami and representatives of non-Muslims will participate in the conference. Over 32 political and religious parties have accepted the invitation to attend the conference.
