KARACHI-
The death toll of people drowning in the sea at Karachi beach rose to 18 with six new bodies being recovered by rescue workers on Thursday morning,a private news channel reported.
Despite a ban on swimming in the sea, more than a dozen persons drowned off Clifton beach on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Three of the victims were the members of the same family.
One of the drowned persons had been identified as 12-year old Manzar. The identities of the rest of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
