Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday demanded Sindh government to impose curfew at Sea View beach in order to avoid another tragic incident like drowning incident at Karachi beach on Eid Day that claimed lives of at least 19 children.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the MQM chief expressed his grief over the deaths through drowning at Karachi Sea View and said that the government should ensure steps to safeguard lives of people. He demanded of government to ensure security at picnic points in order to safeguard precious human lives.
Hussain said the despite implementation of ban on bathing at sea view, the tragic incident of deaths was a question mark on the security measures taken by the government. He called for complete ban on bathing and imposition of curfew at Sea View in order to avoid such incidents. He said that such incidents on the occasion of Eid were not less than a catastrophe.
