President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the nation to share the joys of Eid with the underprivileged sections of society and particularly not to forget the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan on this eve.
The president, in his message on the Eidul Fitr, said the real spirit of Eid was related to spreading happiness among the entire humanity. He said the nation should join their homeless brothers and sisters of Waziristan, who had rendered numerous sacrifices for the sake of country’s bright future. He paid tributes to army’s jawans, who sacrificed their lives for the country and expressed solidarity with their families. He said Eid should be celebrated in a way to enhance mutual relations based on affinity and sacrifice.
He said Eidul Fitr was a festive occasion for the Muslim nationhood. This eve reflected the noble traditions of Islam and carried the spirit of fraternity, kindness and also the religious identity of Muslim Ummah.
President Mamnoon said the day was to express gratitude before Allah Almighty for His countless bounties upon mankind. He said prayers should be offered for the entire Muslim Ummah and particularly for Pakistan that may Allah save it from the curse of terrorism and sectarianism and bless it with peace, prosperity and development.
The president stressed to avoid the conspiracies of negative mindset and support the government’s peace initiatives so that peace could be ensured.
