The mystery of a 15-year boy who went missing from College Road in the wee hours of Friday has deepened as police could not find any clue of him despite lapse of four days.

Osama, a resident of Sadiqabad area, went to collect an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) system from a shop on College Road, but did not return home.

Wasif Raza, Osama’s father, said that he approached the City and Sadiqabad police stations for filing a report. They sent a message on their wireless system to alert patrolling teams across the district.

However, he said the police had not registered a first information report (FIR) of the missing child.

When contacted, City Police Station SHO Khalid Mehmood Satti admitted that there was no progress in the case as the police remained unable to find any clue of the mysterious disappearance. He said all available resources would be utilized to ensure early recovery of the boy, adding that special police teams had been constituted in this regard.

The aggrieved father appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Umer Hayyat Lailaka and City Police Officer (CPO) Hamayum Bashir Tarar to direct the investigating teams to expedite their efforts for the safe and early recovery of the boy whose family was undergoing the agony ahead of Eidul Fitr.
