Seven traffic signals at Rawalpindi Cantt shifted to solar system

As many as seven traffic signals installed on the avenues at Rawalpindi Cantt have been shifted to solar system.
This move has been initiated in line with Rawalpindi Cantt Board (RCB) policy for conversion of all traffic signals installed on the avenues and roads passing through Cantonment areas into solar panels. Overall 15 traffic signals will be switched over to solar panels.
As par RCB authorities the entire project of conversion of signals to solar system is costing Rs 2.3 million which will be completed by August. The authorities said that traffic flow will not be disrupted due to shifting of signals to solar panels and this system will ensure smooth flow of traffic during load shedding hours as well.
