Seven, including two police officials, gunned down

Seven people, including an ASI and lady police constable, were gunned down, while 10 others were injured in different firing incidents in the city on Saturday.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Liaqatabad, unidentified armed motorcyclists came at Complaint Camp of Police, FirduosShopingCenter, Sarafa Market and opened fire. Resultantly, PQR/Assistant Sub Inspector Mohammad Ali was killed and Lady Police Constable Kiran, posted at Women Police, was injured. The victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where the lady police constable succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, two people, Haroon and Hafeez, were killed and two others were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on a donation stall at Masjid Ibrahim in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sector 13-D. They were shifted to ASH.

In another incident, Waheeduddin, was gunned down while Mohammad Nisar Nasir was injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on their car near Garam Chashma in Manghopir area. Both were resident of North Karachi and shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

Meanwhile, Haider Ali was shot dead by armed men at Nazimabad No.4. The body was shifted to ASH for autopsy.

A political worker, Nazir Ahmed, was killed by unidentified culprits in OrangiTown, Sector-5L. The body was shifted to ASH.

In a separate incident, Noshad and his wife Gurria were injured when unknown armed men opened fire on their motorbike in OrangiTown. They were rushed to ASH for treatment.

Two persons were injured in a firing incident when armed motorcyclists opened fire on their car in FB Area near Ayesha Manzil. They were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Separately, Rafique, a resident of SurjaniTown, was injured by unidentified armed culprits near Main Markaz Chowrangi. He was shifted to LiaquatNationalHospital.

A youth, Umair Gul was injured in firing of unidentified armed men near Disco Bakery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Fateh Mohammad, resident of Suhrab Goth, was injured by unidentified armed men in Ayoob Goth, near Muhammadi Masjid. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
