Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says the government has initiated 21,000 megawatt power projects to fulfil the country’s electricity needs.

In a statement on Sunday, he said had Pakistan People’s Party taken measures to address the energy crisis, there would have not been any load shedding in the country. The minister said that the PPP government could have ended load-shedding in the country, but it did nothing during its tenure and now the PPP leaders were protesting against load shedding. Pervaiz Rashid said among others, 1,320 megawatt Jamshoro project had also been started by the present government.

  1. This is a topsy tervy cabinet where all the wrong ministers are addressing the wrong subjects. Or may be Khawaja and Abid sher are with maamun jan in SA.

  2. No relief in sight, hjust talk and more talk. Power shortages will continue for foreseeable future. Sorry for the bad news, just get use to it.
