Water level in Rawal Dam has started rising owing to the continuous rains.
According to Rawal Dam authorities, water level of the dam has risen up to 1,751 feet, which is one foot more than the average capacity of the dam.
If the rains continue for two more days as forecasted by the Meteorological Department, the authorities said they will have to open the spillway to create space for more rainwater.
The adjacent localities have been informed about opening spillways in case the rain continues for next 72 hours.
