PIA inducts second A320 aircraft in its fleet

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Saturday inducted another A320 aircraft in its fleet. The aircraft has been obtained on dry lease.

The PIA chairman presided over the induction ceremony at BenazirBhuttoInternationalAirport.

The chairman said that a third aircraft would be arriving in September this year which would improve services of national flag carrier. The airline is also in the process of inducting 14 aircraft in its fleet, including narrow body, wide Body and turbo-prop aircraft.

PIA has placed order for three A320 aircraft from GECAS of which one aircraft has been received while the remaining one will be delivered to PIA in September while the remaining aircraft will be inducted in the near future.

The Airbus A320 has a seating capacity of 180 seats. The aircraft will be in operation immediately.
