Federal Government Housing Federation (FGHF) has dropped a levy bombshell on allottees of Sector G-14 by deciding to increase built up property head charges by three fold.
In light of this decision, Rs 900,000 additional charges are being demanded from the allottees of one kanal plots.
This decision has broken the back of allottees, who are retired government employees and are already under financial stress as the pension being paid to them is disproportionate to the rampant inflation.
The foundation has already charged Rs 1 billion from the allottees for its payment to the affectees on account of compensation. Now the decision has been taken to pay Rs 3 billion to the affectees against compensation. Therefore, it has been decided to levy these Rs 3 billion on the allottees, most of whom are low paid retired government employees.
The allottees have voiced strong protest over this decision and appealed to the prime minister to take notice of the injustice being done with them by FGHF. The allottees have held the federations’ new director general responsible for this unjust decision.
