The finance ministry has rejected OGRA’s recommendations for raising the price of petroleum products for one month in the perspective of Eidul Fitr.
As per media reports, the OGRA had sent a summary to ministry of petroleum for jacking up the prices of petrol Hi Octane and high speed diesel. The OGRA had recommended for scaling up the prices of petrol amounting to Rs 4.10 per liter and high speed diesel paisas 34 per liter. It was also recommended in the summary that kerosene oil prices be decreased by Rs 1.10 per liter. The OGRA rejected the summary for increasing the prices of petroleum products and approved for keeping the prices intact.
