Al-Quds Day, Jumatul Wida observed in city

The ‘Al-Quds Day’ and Jumatul Wida (last Friday of Ramazan) was observed on Friday by the Muslims across the country as well as in the city with due respect.

After Friday prayer, the Muslims throughout the world including Pakistan took to the streets to protest against the atrocities and crimes committed by the Israel against people of Gaza.

International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramazan to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and to oppose Zionism and Israel’s control of Jerusalem.

Special prayers were offered at mosques for security and prosperity of the country and liberation of Palestine.

Several protest rallies were also taken out in different parts of the country by religious parties including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi where ulema and scholars denounced the Israel’s aggression against Gaza. Strict security measures were put in place around the rallies and mosques across the four provinces in view of the prevailing law and order situation.
