Intelligence agencies have managed to arrest the alleged leader of the terrorists involved in the shootout in Raiwind’s Arayan Pind near Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s estate, a private news channel has reported.
The suspect, identified as Maulvi Ishaq, was arrested from the Hujra Shah Muqeem area of Depalpur tehsil in Okara. He has been moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Security personnel had killed two suspected terrorists in a raid on their hideout in Raiwind after a 10-hour-long operation on July 17. According to intelligence officials, both the terrorists hailed from Okara and received training from Miranshah.
