Terming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s proposed “Azadi March” on August 14 as “Fasadi (insurgency) March”, Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique Wednesday asked PTI chief Imran Khan to postpone his march.

Speaking to journalists at Railways Garage Factory in Rawalpindi, the minister said, “Captain Khan, whose prime ministerial dreams were shattered on May 11, 2013, took to flogging the dead horse of election rigging after he could not find anything else to pacify his broken ego together with.”

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that Khan was trying to distort the Independence Day into “national split-up day”.

“On Independence Day, Khan should share the stage with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with other political leaders to show the world that in hard times, whole nation and its leaders are united,” the minister said.

The minister said that PTI’s allegation that Sharif performed Umrah with tax-payers money was baseless and wrong.

Also criticising Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri, Rafique said, “Both Khan Sahib and his Canadian ally want a constitution of their choice, which is impossible.”
