Restoration of peace talks

It is reported that Pakistan and India’s foreign secretaries will be meeting in late August to resume the peace talks between the two neighbouring countries. The current cessation of peace talks came in January 2013 after ceasefire violations along the line of control. This present positive step is taken on the directions from the two new premiers of the countries to move towards peace process and establish good neighbourly relations. The meeting of the two foreign secretaries is expected to sketch the groundwork for the next meeting between the two premiers in September on the sidelines of UN General Assembly meeting. The security situation in Pakistan is at its crucial stage as our armed forces are fighting a decisive war against the terrorist elements. At this point of time movement towards peace with the otherwise challenging neighbour is an achievement to be appreciated.
