The Sindh home department on Thursday issued protocol to ensure foolproof security arrangements on the occasions of Jummatul Wida and Eidul Fitr.
Directives were issued by the home secretary to police, deputy commissioners and other law enforcement agencies to beef up security of religious scholars at markets, graveyards and Eidgahs.
According to the protocol, persons belonging to banned outfits would be closely monitored while orders have been issued for action against people misusing loudspeakers as well as distributing hate literature.
Directives have also been issued to remove objectionable wall chalking including posters and other material. Meanwhile, amid security threats, security around jails across the province would be strengthened. Holidays of jail staff have already been cancelled.
