The lawyers boycotted court proceedings in Karachi to protest against the murder of Mubarak Kazmi Advocate on Thursday.
Advocate Mubarak Kazmi, who was shot dead by unknown armed men in Karachi on Wednesday, was laid to rest at a local graveyard. Mubarak Kazmi was the son-in-law of renowned religious scholar Allama Talib Johri.
The funeral prayer of the deceased was held at a mosque in Ancholi area of Karachi on Wednesday night which was attended by Allama Talib Jauhri and other religious and political leaders. Mubarak Kazmi Advocate was gunned down by unknown gunmen in Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 13-D, when he was passing by the area in his car. Aziz Bhatti Police Station has registered a murder case against unknown culprits under murder, attempt to murder and anti-terrorism law.
The lawyers on the call of Sindh High Court Bar and Karachi Bar Association boycotted the court proceedings to protest against murder of Advocate Mubarak Kazmi.
