Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul Haq on Thursday said that his party endorses Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s demand of electoral reforms in Pakistan, but hinted that his party would not be participating in the PTI’s announced ‘million man march’ to Islamabad on August 14.

While addressing a gathering in Mansoora, Siraj said he didn’t see a military coup in the making. “It is the democratic right of the PTI to hold a demonstration and the government should facilitate the protesters and cooperate with PTI,” he said.

Siraj criticized the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership on the hidden commitments made in the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) that recently got “leaked” by Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza.
