Golra police saves the day for kidnapped infant

The Golra police Thursday arrested five people including two women for allegedly kidnapping a three-month-old child besides recovering the child, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Muhammad Shehbaz, resident of Mirabadia, lodged the report with Golra Police Station that he along with his wife went to F-10 Markaz on July 17 and left their three-month old baby Zubair Abbas with his nephew. He stated in application that his neighbour Asmat Bibi sent his nephew at nearest shop to purchase something and kidnapped his baby.

Following this application, SP (Saddar) Muhammad Ilyas constituted special team including Sub-Inspector Muneer Ahmed, Constable Arshad Mehmud and others to ensure earliest arrest of those involved in this kidnapping case.

The police team worked hard and succeeded in arresting five kidnappers including two women identified as Asmat Bibi, Manzooran Bibi, Mohsin Ali, Imtiaz Ahmed and Ejaz besides recovering the kidnapped child safely.

During the preliminary investigation from the nabbed, it has been revealed that daughter of one alleged woman Manzooran Bibi was residing in Sargodha and it was planned to give this baby to her because she had no kid.

5 KG HEROIN SEIZED AT CAPITAL’S AIRPORT:

The Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel on Thursday recovered five kilograms of heroin from a passenger going from IslamabadAirport to Dubai.

According to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), the ASF personnel during search of baggage of Muhammad Azil recovered heroin. It said the accused belongs to Serai Alamgir tehsil of Gujrat and was planning to go to Greece through Dubai.

TWO DIE IN PINDI ROAD ACCIDENT:

As many as two people were killed while one was injured in a road accident in the city on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, the accident took place at the Golra Morr when a trailer, laden with electronic items, overturned.

The deceased were driver and conductor of the trailer. The bodies and injured were shifted to PIMSHospital
