Hundreds of demonstrators armed with sticks are protesting against load shedding outside the Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (LESCO) office in the Batapur area of Lahore, a private news channel has reported.
According to reports, the protesters were suffering from 16 hours of load shedding on a daily basis. The protest turned violent when the demonstrators smashed the glass doors of the LESCO office on Sukh Neher and proceeded to break the windows of a car as well. According to the channel, additional police force has been summoned to control the mob, which has blocked the road by burning tyres and is shouting slogans against the government.
