At least 13 suspected militants were killed and their hideouts destroyed in fresh airstrikes in Shawal tehsil of North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday.
Sources said that the jet strikes destroyed at least six hideouts in the Shawal mountains and the area near Datta Khel. However, these claims could not be independently verified.
Air strikes were also carried out late on Tuesday. The media has no access to the tribal region, making it difficult to verify the claims of military as well as militant sources.
