The Employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) held a protest demonstration against the proposed privatisation of the national flag carrier.
Protesting at the PIA headquarters in Karachi, the employees called on the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the privatisation. The protest was attended by engineers, pilots and other employee unions. They said the PIA privatisation was unacceptable and blamed the policies of the government and corrupt administration for the current state of the airline.
