PCB hopes to revive National Stadium Karachi

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalised the decision to renovate the National Stadium Karachi.

The National Stadium Karachi has been look after by two previous chairmen Zaka Ashraf and Ijaz Butt. They have repeatedly request the authorities including PCB and Karachi city cricket association (KCCA) to renovate the condition of National Stadium.

The National Stadium ground hasnot been used to play any major league for past several years.

The National Stadium ground has around 35 thousand people capacity but it’s quite small for a city of Karachi population of 15 million.

The NSK stairs and roof tops and enclosures are very bad in conditions right now. No maintenance of NSK has been done in previous years.

The chief of PCB Najam Sethi hasn’t approved the renovation of the project which expense nearly about 30 million.

Finally, PCB Sethi has approved the work renovation of NSK. And he said to renovation the NSK top class. While those areas such as stairs, different rooms for officials, rooftops, chairman boxes, and media boxes will also be upgraded.

These are in the pipeline projects that can be benefit for Pakistan cricket.
