- PTI chief slams silence of Muslim world over Israeli aggression,
- Says Muslim leaders are ‘cowards’ whose only concern is to care about their ‘billions stashed away in western banks’
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday said that Pakistan was passing through its toughest phase while the prime minister was on a nine-day tour with his family to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah on “taxpayer’s money”.
Addressing the launching ceremony for Sasta Atta and Ghee Scheme in Peshawar, the PTI chief accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif of spending Rs 10 billion on a self-projection campaign.
Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province has set praise worthy examples of solid performance but never made any effort to highlight it as it is being done by the leadership of the country’s ruling party. He particularly mentioned the KP’s reforms undertaken in the Police Department.
The PTI chief said people being fed up with the current system will come out in huge numbers to take part in the PTI’s long march on Islamabad on August 14.
Moreover, Khan said his party would approach National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over Nandipur Project scam.
Khan directed the KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to expedite work towards establishment of playgrounds for kids and recreation parks for the people.
On the issue of Gaza, Khan labelled the Muslim leaders as “cowards” whose only concern was to care about their billions stashed away in western banks. Even a boycott of Israel-made products would be a big step against the ongoing aggression in Gaza, he added.
