Several cities in Punjab including twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad received heavy rainfall on Saturday morning.
The much-awaited rain brought down the temperature that freshened up the whole ambiance. Gujranwala, Gujrat, Pind Dadan Khan, Khewra, Pir Mahal, Pindi Bhattian, Sialkot, Pasrur, Faisalabad and Kala Bagh also received rain that brought respite from the summer.
The Met Office has predicted more rains in Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan, Hyderabad and Malakand during the next 24 hours.
The weather in Karachi will also stay partially cloudy whereas it may drizzle in few areas.
Temperature of major cities recorded: Islamabad and Lahore 27 degrees centigrade, Karachi 30 Peshawar 28, Quetta 21, Gilgit 20, Murree 17 and Muzaffarabad 25.
According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and adjoining areas. Weak monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and expected to persist during next 24 hours. Monsoon activity would remain subdued from Sunday to Tuesday.
