Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has decided to install tube wells in three areas in Rawalpindi at the double depth as the already installed tube wells therein have ceased to function due to their low depth installation.

Earlier, the tube wells were installed at the depth of 350 feet in the areas of Behari Colony, Medina Town, Murree road and Jauhar Abad Satellite town. These tube wells could function only for some period and later they stopped supplying water due to low depth drilling .

WASA conducted survey in these areas and it has now decided to install tube wells at the depth of 650 feet.

MD Wasa Raja Shaukat Mehmood said that installation of tube wells will soon be started. These areas will continue to be supplied water from alternative sources till the installation of new tube wells.
