Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday approved the construction of Greater Iqbal Park and Butterfly House in the provincial capital.
The Punjab CM chaired a high-level meeting in which he approved the projects. He said that Greater Iqbal Park is of immense importance after the completion of Azadi Chowk Flyover.
“Minar-e-Pakistan, Badshahi Mosque, Shahi Qilla and other sites will be historically revived,” Shahbaz said.
He also said that Greater Iqbal Park will highlight the cultural importance of the city. He added that a lake will also be made inside the park which will have an island in it.
“Greater Iqbal Park project will be a grand example of individualism,” the Punjab CM said.
Shahbaz stated that the first Butterfly House of Pakistan will be constructed in Jallo Park.
