At least 43 Taliban militants were killed or injured during military operations by Afghan national security forces in the past 24 hours.
Afghan Interior Ministry said on Sunday that the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police (ANP), Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives.
A ministry statement added that the operations were conducted in Logar, Faryab, Maidan Wardak, Baghlan, Uruzgan, Heart and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan.
At least 43 Taliban militants were killed, 22 militants were injured and 1 militant was arrested during the operations, the statement added.
Afghan security forces also confiscated light and heavy weapons, explosives and four improvised explosive devices (IED) during the operations.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
