Former president and co-chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has taken notice of the ongoing dispute between the officials of Sindh health ministry on bifurcation of the department.
Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed had distanced himself from the ministry’s bifurcation plan that, Health Secretary Iqbal Hussain Durrani said, would prove beneficial for the people.
Zardari, taking notice of the dispute on Friday night, tasked Dr Asim Hussain, former advisor to the prime minister on petroleum and natural resources, to resolve the matter.
Dr Hussain reportedly contacted both members of the health ministry, and made attempted to bring reconciliation between the two. It is expected that both the members would meet in next few days, and the issue would be resolved amicably.
