Bahria Town sets up three Dastarkhwans for IDPs in Bannu

Bahria Town’s relief efforts for IDPs is in full momentum. Three Bahria Dastarkhwans that have been setup in Bannu have been feeding Iftar as well as regular meals to thousands of IDPs since day one, comprising of dates, biryani and juices. These Dastarkhwans are located at Ghori Wala, DI Khan Lucky Marwat Road, Army Stadium Camp Kohat Road Bannu City and Miranshah MamshKhel.
Bahria Town mobile medical units are aggressively active in Bannu and surrounding areas, working relentlessly to provide free checkups, treatments and distributing free medicines to men women and children.

Besides the Dastarkhwans, more than 5,000 families have also been provided with ration bags.
According to government census, Bannu has a population of 1,000,000 and with an addition of 1,000,000 IDPs there is a severe scarcity of basic facilities, especially clean water. Chairman Bahria Town, Malik RiazHussain has taken immediate notice of the situation and instructed his teams to collect all the necessary data and consensus reports from the government officials and install water hand-pumps.
