A man was killed and three, including a woman, were injured on Friday when a trailer overturned on two vehicles in Islamabad.
According to police and rescue officials, the incident occurred near the city’s vegetable market Sector I-9 when a speeding trailer ran out of the driver’s control and overturned, crushing two cars.
Four people inside the two vehicles were critically wounded and one died on the way to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.
PIMS spokesperson Dr Aisha said a man was received dead on arrival at the hospital whereas three others, including a woman and her husband, are being treated. “They are in emergency but stable and out of danger,” she told reporters.
Investigations are underway.
