ISLAMABAD-
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday provided Arsalan Iftikhar a record of the references filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.
The references were filed against the PTI Chief by the late Dr Sher Afgan Niazi and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar. Verified copies of the National Assembly Speaker’s ruling and Election Commission’s decision were also provided to Arsalan Iftikhar.
The record was provided to Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, based on references and observations filed against the PTI Chairman.
Arsalan intends to seek proceedings for Imran’s disqualification from the National Assembly allegedly for concealing facts about certain aspects of his personal life in the nomination form.
Arsalan’s decision to file a reference against Imran came after the latter criticized Justice (retd) Iftikhar Chaudhry for his alleged role in rigging in the general elections.
Imran had also termed Arsalan’s appointment as Vice-Chairman of Balochistan’s Board of Investment a gift in return for alleged favors doled out to the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) in the May 11 elections.
IMRAN KHAN IS THE ONLY ELDER TO BERG CAN BRING DEMOCRACY.
