Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal has directed the Planning Wing to compile a new report based on a fresh survey regarding non-confirming use of residential buildings and directed the staff concerned to take action against the violators of building by-laws without fear or favour.
The chairman made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting at the CDA headquarters.
The meeting reviewed the report about commercial and non-conforming use of residential buildings in the city.
While expressing his dissatisfaction over the report CDA chairman directed the Planning Wing to compile a new report based on a fresh survey.
The new report should be used to control non-conforming use of residential buildings in the proximity of the Marakiz and other commercial areas in Islamabad.
A comprehensive plan of action should be evolved in the new report to permanently and indiscriminately curb the trend of non-confirming use of the residential buildings in the city, he said.
