Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Akhtar Buland Rana Thursday filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC), pleading the court restrain Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Fareh Tareen from interfering in the administrative matters of AGP.

Through his counsel Saeed Khurshid, the AGP pleaded that finance minister had been persistently interfering in his matters illegally while the government was instituting cases against him through police and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The AGP has made finance minister, finance secretary, Finance Additional Secretary Bashir Ahmad and CGA respondents in the case.
