Islamabad senior civil judge has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Capital Development Authority (CDA) director Asadullah Faiz in a case pertaining to alleged bogus allotment of plots worth millions of rupees in the federal capital.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against the accused over the complaints of real owners of these plots. Faiz is currently serving at an important post in Punjab Home Department.

According to the case, the accused during his directorship at the CDA allegedly allotted five plots of Sihala Chemical Complex Ltd, a private company, worth millions of rupees, situated at Industrial Triangle Road, Islamabad, to one Haji Mazhar illegally.

The real owners of these plots immediately filed complaint with the FIA. The FIA after completing investigations registered a case against the accused and got his arrest warrants from the senior civil judge.

It merits mentioning that Faiz had moved to the FIA from the CDA through deputation, from where he moved to the Punjab Home Department.
