A Pakistani football team will chip in 2014 Asian Youth Football Festa that takes place in South Korea, next month.
The tournament will be held from August 8 to 11, 2014 in Hwaseong Sports Complex, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, a Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) official said.
He said that South Korea had extended invitation to Pakistan adding that under-12 youth football team would be sent for the event. Last week, open trial sessions were held at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad to select the outfit for the tournament.
“Despite the hot weather, a big number of youngsters thronged the complex and participated in the trials. The final team for the event would be announced later,” the official added.
Meanwhile, the organizers have said that the festa is for the youth who love football. Cultural exchanges will also take place during the event and it will be a great opportunity to share friendship and to cultivate bright future for Asian Youth, they added.
