The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday filed a reference in the accountability court in the Karkey rental power case during the hearing of a corruption case against former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
Judge Muhammad Bashir questioned Ashraf’s counsel Amjad Qureshi about his absence. The lawyer said that no summon was received in this regard and his client would appear in the case whenever the court summons him.
The court directed that all the accused, including Ashraf, be provided copies of the reference and directed them to appear on September 1 to record their statements.
The court also reserved its decision on Piran Ghayab and Sahuwal rental power references till July 21.
