A female student was shot dead in Rawalpindi’s Barani University on Wednesday, officials said.
According to local police, Shoaib, a relative of deceased student opened fire on female student identified as Saira Naveed in the campus building.
The murderer fired multiple shots on Saira, student of BSc Computer Sciences, soon after she was coming out of her room after a class.
The victim was shifted to Benazir Hospital as police and Rescue 1122 was called in but she succumbed to her injuries before reaching hospital.
The murderer was arrested by the police with weapon. The police said investigations were underway but initial report says that incident was cause of domestic problem or love affair.
