QUETTA,
An attempt of terrorism in Quetta was foiled on Tuesday when a roadside bomb planted on city’s outskirts was defused.
According to SP Imran Qureshi, a man informed police about presence of some suspicious people and suspicious-looking bag lying a few feet away from the Western Bypass within the limits of New Sariyab police station.
The law-enforcers arrived at the site and called the Bomb Disposal Squad to check the bag. The BDS immediately secured the area and defused the bomb weighting around six kg.
Officials said it was a locally-made bomb connected with a remote-controlled device and concealed in an iron pipe.
