The city traders will be paid Rs 21 billion on account of price of 21 kanals of land acquired by the government from them in connection with Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project.
District Price Assessment Committee (DPAC) Head Sajid Zafar Dall said that the Punjab government approved to pay prices of the land set by DPAC to traders for the Rawalpindi section of the metro project.
Sajid Zafar Dall said that he himself had settled the matters of the land acquisition after holding a meeting with the traders. He said that in a recent meeting, it was agreed to pay the price of the land at the rate ranging between Rs 2,200,000 per marla to Rs 4,500,000 per marla.
The Provincial Assessment Committee approved these prices under which the traders of Sadar, Liaqat Bagh, and Committee Chowk would get the maximum rate, Dall added.
