- Prime minister, president discuss security and political situation of country

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif called on President Mamnoon Hussain at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday and discussed the overall situation of the country with particular reference to Operation Zarb-e-Azb and problems of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency.
The prime minister apprised the president about steps to mitigate sufferings of the IDPs.
While appreciating the steps taken by the government, the president stressed that philanthropists of the country should also join hands to make the living of the IDPs more comfortable. He said these philanthropists should donate generously during the month of Ramazan for their brethren.
Sources said that political situation in the country also came under review during the meeting.
