Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he enjoys playing an ”anti-hero” who is disliked in his upcoming fantasy-horror ‘Horns’.
The 24-year-old star has confessed he enjoyed taking on a completely different role in the upcoming fantasy-horror, which is based on the novel of the same name by cult Canadian author Joe Hill.
He told The Sun newspaper: ”It’s a very, very different type of part than anything I’ve done before.
”He’s a great character. It’s nice to play a real sort of anti-hero who does a few genuinely nasty things to people.”
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor stars as Ig Perrish, a young man accused of raping and killing his girlfriend, who wakes up one morning to find he has grown two goat-like horns which give him the ability to coax out people’s darkest secrets.
Also starring in the movie – which is being directed by ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ filmmaker Alexandre Aje – are This Is England’s Juno Temple, Heather Graham and James Remar.
Radcliffe – who recently revealed he has no intention of reprising his role as boy wizard Harry – recently wrapped on ‘Frankenstein’ and is currently filming for ‘Trainwreck’.
‘Horns’ is set for release in the United Kingdom on October 31 2014.
