Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) has taken stern notice of performing the function of medical officer by four medical assistants appointed in rural health centre Bahara Kahu and has sought reply from District Health Officer (DHO) on this malpractice.
Islamabad DC has taken this action on the reports from general public that four medical assistants are working in place of doctors in rural health centre Bahara Kahu and are conducting medical check up of the patients. The DC has directed DHO to strictly prevent these medical assistants from checking the patients.
The residents of the area have appealed to Islamabad DC to hold enquiry into proceeding of in-charge doctor rural health centre on long leave besides non issuance of medicines by medical officer to the patients from heath centre dispensary.
