Pervez Ashraf’s ECL hearing put off for a week

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned for one week the hearing of former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf petition seeking removal of his name from Exit Control List (ECL).
A two-member bench of IHC led by IHC Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kansi took up for hearing Raja Pervez Ashraf versus federation case Monday.
The court has ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file reply within one week on this count.
Farooq H Naik counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court and told his client name has been placed in ECL illegally. Former PM is facing difficulties in travelling to other countries to attend ceremonies therein being his name in ECL. Ashraf has remained central office bearer of PPP and he has remained head of federal ministries.
The court said that NAB has not filed its reply in this case. The court directed NAB to file reply within a week and put off hearing for one week.
