ASI among 7 killed in violence

As many as seven people including an ASI were gunned down while six others injured in the city on Monday.

A resident of Korangi, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Police Yousuf, 45, son of Naseem, was gunned down in Korangi Zia Colony by unknown persons. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) Hospital.

In another incident, a resident of Surjani Town, Noor Mohammad, 40, was killed in a police encounter. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In yet another incident, a resident of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Meer Ali, 43 was gunned down in Port Qasim area by unknown persons.

The bullet-riddled body of 35 year-old unknown person was found from Mandi Keamari. It was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. Another bullet-riddled body of 35 year-old unknown person was found from Northern Bypass Baldia and was shifted to CHK.

A resident of Orangi Town Rashid, 25, was gunned down by unknown persons in Orangi Town Johar Chowk. The victim was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In another firing incident, a resident of Memon Goth Malir, Basheer, 35, son of Aalam, was gunned down by unknown persons near ice factory. The body was shifted to JPMC Hospital.

A firing incident occurred in Lyari Niazi Chowk wherein one Mohsin, 18, Junaid, 22, Owais Niazi 40, Iqbal, 25, and Junaid, 22 were injured. The incident occurred when some people resisted a robbery bid at Mama Hotel Lyari. The injured were shifted to CHK.

In another firing incident, a resident of Orangi, Waseem, 35, son of Aleem, was injured in Orangi Town No 10 by unknown persons. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Yet another incident of firing occurred in Orangi town, and 30-years-old Hussain, son of Islam, was injured by unknown persons. He was shifted to the ASH.
