Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf has said that the current political system is not helping the country out.
Speaking in an interview, the retired general said, “People have tried and tested the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) which failed to deliver and now the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) isn’t faring any better.”
Musharraf did not have much hope from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan either. He said that no matter how many elections you have in Pakistan “we will eventually end up having the same people getting elected”.
He believed that country desperately needs some form of an interim setup for an extended period of time, with a solid backing of the military.
He said that the days of military coup in Pakistan are now over. He nodded his approval on the Tahirul Qadri’s movement.
He expressed the belief that the war on terror cannot be won till madrassas are incorporated in the modern schooling system. He proudly mentioned some of the strict steps he had taken against madrassas by amending their curriculum and making them more mainstream.
SRI LANKA NEW VISA POLICY SHOCKS MUSHARRAF: Musharraf was shocked after hearing the news that Sri Lanka was withdrawn on-arrival visa facility from Pakistanis. Narrating an incident of the Sri Lankan civil war, Musharraf said Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga had called him to help the Sri Lankan soldiers who were trapped somewhere near the Jaffna peninsula and were under attack from the Tamil Tigers. He said Pakistan had promptly sent all possible help in the form of arms, ammunition and technical expertise to help the Sri Lankans.
THE GENERAL-JUSTICE CONNECTION: Musharraf joked about the appointment of Arsalan Iftikhar as Balochistan Board of Interest (BBOI) vice chairman, saying that a national treasure like Reqo Diq was placed at Arsalan’s disposal for exploitation.
His regretted that exports worth many millions of dollars were stopped in 2012 and Tythian Gold and Antofagasta were not allowed to carry out their job. He said that he met Tythian Gold president in London after the annulment of the deal by former chief justice of Pakistan Justice (r) Iftikhar Chaudhry, adding that the company president was “disappointed” on what was going on in Pakistan.
The general shed some light on the Pakistan Steel deal and shared the plan of what al Tawarqi (the winning party) was supposed to do with Pak Steel in terms of further investment and exports.
When asked if there was any discussion between the then judiciary and himself before the announcement of the decision, Musharraf smiled and said the details (which he will not share) were shocking on ground of how much aligned Musharraf, Iftikhar Chaudhary and the Attorney General were on the pro-privatisation judgement which was supposed to come. However, the ultimate judgement was totally the opposite. Musharraf said he would share the reason for this in the sequel of his book “In the Line of Fire”.
He said the text of the sequel would be completed once the judgement of the ongoing trails especially the Article 6 case, is out.
Musharraf. Greatest Pakistani after jinnah.
Great lover of country. Nobody have dought an it
I second that motion. Great leader in my time.
Great Leader in The History of Pakistan. Great Musharraf.
We really miss you PM. You are the sincere leader with competence and understanding of Pakistan's all problems.
The honest and true leader that this nation did not give respect to. Every institution is paid to speak against him because he was genuinely sincere to Pakistan and knew how to handle matters strategically.
Musharraf though a dictator, proves to be better than all so called democratic leaders in the disguise of political dictators! What is happening now e.g. in Model Town massacre did not happen during Musharraf. Mush was not the best but the best amongst the choice of all other options!

Musharraf The Great, we need you
Really great leader. He can deliver .
history tells us clearly that the country has shown economic growth as well as stability in its international affairs only when a military dictator has ruled the country.examples of ayub khan and musharraf is enough for the democratic leaders, and i will advice them all to follow musharraf in their dealings………
Great leader in the history of PAKISTAN
we Salute U Sir PARVEZ MUSHARAF
We Need U Back
After President Musharraf left we are seeing what the two main parties have given to the people of Pakistan, nothing but sheer misery, poverty and lies and a country more divided than ever before. They talk about "dictatorship" as if it is a cardinal sin and at the same time praise China's phenomenal achievements. Had China had a shameful democracy like ours it would not be the nation that it is today.
So we should either have a true democracy where there is true law and order and every citizen is equal, which is impossible at present, or have a Musharraf style of government where the vast majority of people were more safe and the country was on the path to real progress. Democracy can come after that.
Pakistaneon ko inn khabees siysutdanon se Najaat sirf uss waqt mile gi jub yeh sub Juhannum Raseed Honge aur woh inhein Allah (SWT) hi kur sukta hai. Iss waqt jitni be waquf Awaam Saabit ho rahi hai utna to "GUDHE" tuk nahi hote. Eik Chor aur Khali Dimagh Wazir e Azum bana hua hai jo bagher sahee "VOTES" kay DHANDLI se PRIME MINISTER bana baitha hai aur Musulsul Pakistani Masoom Awaam ko GOLIYAN de raha hai aur hum sub khamosh tamasha dekh rahe hein. Iska WAQT Khutum hona Chahiye. HUM KO PERVEZ MUSHARAF JAISA MUHIB E WATTUN aur GHAYOOR Leader Chahiye. Allah (SWT) humari Mudud Farmaye. Ameen
I wish he'd comeback for the sake of my country men.Sab Se Pehley Pakistan.
Musharraf = Zindabad
The system has been rotten and eating away Pakistan. We need to get rid of it especially high binders. May God save Pakistan from all sort of evils.,
dear Sir you ara a great leader in a history of pakistan ,
untill i never seen Mushraf like leader i love so much with him. i want to meet with him but no acesses
Sir pakistan k liy kab othoge jab pakistan khatam hojayga? ap or tahirul qadri milkar ay pakistan k liy insha allah kamyabi aplogo ki hogi but come fast
Musharaf , the real Pakistani leader in comparison to Sharif family who r purely supporting to their kins and "Miracy type NO RATANS" who are busy on t.v. talk shows to defend their masters, even on murders of model town they by playing with words, blames T.Qadri sb. Now in this media era these" Miracies" are busy in row of competition to appease their master. Now their practical service to society is to appoint everywhere low grade officers on high posts,PAC chairman a corrupt leader against whom NAB cases are pending, now both the parties are busy to get clearance from courts/NAB bcz there are some judges/officers who are like servant of both the parties. In sind there corruption GALA SALE no one is bother to ask them where funds are being used and whats come out. In Punjab they are allowing their kins and some pets by awarding or sharing with foreign firms in mega projects, their way of looting is different from sind in the shadow of business deals. Now Pak is in need of Musharaf/T.Qadri sb to change the whole "MUNHOOS MOORASEE JHAMHURIAT". ALLAH may help us to get rid of both family leaders in the month of RAMZAN.
PPL: of PaK; are requested/advised to support Musharaf and T.Qadri sb and also MQM if mqm go for change of whole political system. Leader like Musharaf is badly needed in Pakistan..
We are slowt pervez musharraf
Pervez Musharaf a great leader. A leader who knows how to handle the problems of Pakistan and Muslim umma. Ek galty sir ap sy hoy hain? ke ap ne Nawaz jesy nalayq bandy ko zinda chora hy. en sary politicians ko ek jaga par ap ekata karky saro ko zinda jalaty to ketna acha karty.
We all remember the golden period of development, prosperity, security, internationally recognized and honored pakistan, under the leadership of legendary Pervez Musharaf. He brought new faces in Pakistani Politics like Dr.Ata ur rehman, Shoukat Aziz, Tariq Aziz, Muhammad Ali Durrani, Gen.Tanvir, and many more who proved to be the outstanding ones in terms of Delivering and giving pakistan a right direction of progress. Before and after this periods these people are out of scene, and again we the whole nation once again has been put to the notorious, corrupt and immoral politicians who once again are in positon to destroy this country to the best of their potentials. We would be lucky enough to have this brave leader back in Pakistani politics or establishment if this country is really going to survive with honor.
